Bananas are rich in vitamins, fibre and minerals and therefore form a cornerstone of the basic nutrition of the children in the hostels and schools of the Pilar Fathers. Each banana plant is lovingly cared for by two children and carefully tended from plantation to harvest. When the harvests are particularly productive, bananas are also regularly sold on the local market, so that the earned money can be used for the children's basic needs.
With your donation you will finance a banana seedling that will soon provide cool shade and healthy fruit for the boys and girls for many years to come.
