IndienHilfe Deutschland and Pilar Fathers have already launched the lychee project in 2011: The first lychee trees were planted at the school in Agharma - here they should improve the nutritional situation of the pupils.
But the robust plants offer much more potential: with just three lychee trees, a family can create a solid income base.
The plants live for more than 100 years and bear abundant fruit that fetch good prices on local markets.
